The start of a new quilt......

I have some wonderful fabric in stock, just waiting to be made into a luscious quilt.  It is to include some "fussy cut" details featuring Japanese Geisha dolls in charcoal grey, crimson and white.  

But....  I also wanted to put together the quilt using the 'row by row' technique.

I don't usually share my work until it's a finished product, but this time, I'm going to take you through from start to finish :-).

Here's my first draught of the design - one of the blocks is a little indistinct to say the least - it'll shape up though.
